Storyline
While the show introduced many fictional films (notably Prognosis Negative), Rochelle was introduced in episode 4 of Season Three, “The Dog”. It later appears in “The Movie”. Through a comedy of errors, everyone (but Kramer) misses the movie they were originally going to see, Checkmate, and end up in Rochelle, Rochelle. Although not stated, it’s been widely assumed that Rochelle Rochelle was the French movie “Emmanuelle” or some sort of sequel. Emanuelle was released in France in 1974.
