Storyline
This movie tells the story of how Henk Rogers, a video game developer, obtained the rights to distribute the game “Tetris” for Nintendo. He initially obtained the rights to distribute the game in Japan but later convinced Nintendo to partner with him. Rogers faced several challenges along the way, including dealing with the media tycoon Robert Maxwell and his son Kevin, who had signed a contract to distribute the game in exchange for game royalties. However, Rogers convinced Nintendo to package the game with their upcoming handheld device, the Game Boy, instead of Super Mario Land. He also traveled to Moscow to obtain the worldwide handheld rights for the game, which he eventually did. Despite facing threats from the Russian embassy and the KGB, Rogers managed to distribute Tetris and turn it into one of the most successful video games of all time.
