Storyline
“If you build it, he will come.” This mysterious message haunts Ray Kinsella, an Iowa farmer, driving him to construct a baseball field in his cornfield. The “he” is believed to be Shoeless Joe Jackson, a disgraced baseball player. Ray, estranged from his father who idolized Jackson, seeks redemption through this act. The voice guides him towards other figures: Terence Mann, a reclusive writer, and Archie “Moonlight” Graham, a one-game wonder. However, Mann may not share Ray’s vision, and Graham is deceased. Ray faces opposition from his wife’s brother, Mark, who threatens their financial stability. To understand the voice’s true meaning, Ray must overcome these challenges and maintain his belief in the impossible.
